Encryption

To secure your data, I use SSL encryption on my website.
The certificates for the use of SSL encryption are regularly renewed by me. You can see if a page of my Internet presence is encrypted by the closed display of the key/lock symbol in the status bar of your browser.

Cookies
In addition to the data mentioned in the section "Collection and storage of personal data when calling my website", cookies are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you use my website. These are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and are assigned to the browser you are using; thanks to cookies, the organization that installs them receives certain information. Cookies are used to make my Internet offer more user-friendly and effective. Cookies do not give me direct knowledge of your identity. Cookies cannot run programs or transfer viruses to your computer.
My website only uses session cookies. Session cookies store a session ID, which allows us to associate different requests from your browser with the session. Session cookies allow us to recognize that you have already visited certain pages of my website. Session cookies are automatically deleted when you leave my site or close your browser. You can also delete cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.
You can also visit my website without cookies. To do so, you must configure your browser settings so that cookies are not accepted. In this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of my website.
The data processed by cookies is necessary for the above-mentioned purposes to protect my legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Article 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
I will inform you about cookies set by possibly integrated services (e.g. YouTube) later in this statement.
Other functions and offers of my website / integration of third-party services and content (plug-in providers).
In addition to the purely informative use (viewing) of my website, I offer various services that you can actively use if you are interested. For this purpose, you usually have to provide further personal data, which are used to provide the service in question.

Online presence in social media
I maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services on site.
I would like to point out that user data may be processed outside the European Union. This can lead to risks for users, as, for example, it could make it more difficult to enforce users' rights. With respect to U.S. providers certified under the Privacy Shield, we emphasize that they thereby commit to EU data protection standards.
In addition, user data is generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, usage profiles can be created based on the usage behavior and resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements within and outside the platforms that are likely to match the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are typically stored on users' computers, in which the usage behavior and interests of users are stored. In addition, data may also be stored in usage profiles regardless of the devices used by the users (especially if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).
The processing of users' personal data is based on our legitimate interests in effectively informing and communicating with users in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f. DSGVO. If users are asked by the respective providers to consent to the processing of data (i.e. declare their consent, e.g. by checking a box or confirming a button), the legal basis for the processing is Article 6 (1) (a) and Article 7 DSGVO.
For a detailed description of the respective processing and opt-out options, we refer to the information of the linked providers below.
Likewise, in the case of requests for information and assertion of user rights, we emphasize that these rights can be most effectively asserted with the providers. Only providers have access to user data and can directly take appropriate action and provide information. If you still need help, you can contact us.

Google Fonts, Google Ajax & jQuery Libraries, Google Maps, YouTube
In order to present our website in a graphically attractive manner, we use font libraries from Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on the website. When the font libraries are loaded, a connection to Google is automatically established. Google may collect data during this process. Ajax and jQuery technologies are partly used on this website. In addition, Google Maps can be displayed, for example, for information about events. For this purpose, the corresponding program libraries or map contents are called up from Google's servers. We also integrate videos from the "YouTube" platform of the Google provider. In this context, we would like to point out that this use may involve external Google servers in the USA. Unfortunately, we do not know at this time whether Google records this server request and uses it later. However, we assume that the Google data protection regulations also apply in this respect: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. In any case, your IP address will be stored for a period of several months. The same applies to JavaScript elements that may be loaded from Google's servers for browser compatibility purposes (e.g. with IE9). Google also processes your personal data in the U.S. and is subject to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. Opt-out : https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google in the Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, but please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) from Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which will prevent future collection of your data when visiting this website. For more information on the terms of use and data protection, please refer to the Google Analytics terms and conditions or the Google Analytics overview. We would like to point out that on this website, Google Analytics has been supplemented with the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" in order to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

Objection or revocation against the processing of your data
If I process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO, you may object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 DSGVO. In this case, please inform me of the reasons - arising from your particular situation - on the basis of which I should not process your personal data. After considering your objection, I will either stop or adapt the data processing or continue the processing. In the latter case, I will explain to you the compelling reasons why I need to protect you.
You can object at any time to the processing of your personal data for advertising and/or data analysis purposes, without having to give reasons. I will implement your right to object in this regard; it is not necessary to give reasons.
If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of revocation or objection, please send an e-mail to the following address: marylise@international-coupletherapy-berlin.com. You may also inform me of your objection or revocation at the following address: Marylise Dumont, Böckhstr. 39, 10967 Berlin.
